I don’t know about you, but I’ve been having trouble keeping things straight these days. Even in the middle of a pandemic, life keeps pressing on with all its usual demands (although sometimes in unusual ways).
Add to that the information overload, and it can feel like there isn’t time to read or do anything extra, even if I really want to!
That said, in case you’re feeling anything like me, I’m going to share some short and sweet ideas with you over the next few weeks to get you and your kids learning and playing together.
Here’s your first dose of fun!
What do I need?
- Bubble Trouble by Margaret Mahy
- Bubble Solution (Make your own using this awesome recipe!)
- Bubble Wand (You can make your own using pipe cleaners.)
What do I do?
- Read Bubble Trouble. After you read the story, go back and look for rhyming words together.
- Make bubble mix and bubble wands together. Let your kids measure, pour, and stir to incorporate math and fine motor skills.
- Blow bubbles. (Chase and pop bubbles too for some gross motor fun!)
That’s it?
That’s it! Short and sweet, just like that sugary bubble mix (But don’t eat it!).
Your Turn! I hope you have fun with this one! Let me know what you think of today’s mini-post and what you’d like to see more of!
P.S. Celebrate life!
